Submissions by email

A thoughtful paper.
A simple beginning.

Send your manuscript to the editorial team by email. Authors do not need a platform account.

How a paper reaches publication

Submission, correspondence and peer review take place by email. The website holds journal information and the published archive.

  1. 01

    Email your manuscript

Send the manuscript, title page and a short covering email to the confirmed submission address.

  2. 02

    Editorial assessment

The editors consider fit, contribution and readiness for external review. The handling editor must be independent of the authors.

  3. 03

    External peer review

Suitable papers are sent to independent reviewers. The editorial team manages the review and communicates its decision by email.

  4. 04

    Revision and author approval

Authors respond to the reviews and revise their papers. Accepted work is prepared in the journal’s house style and returned for proof approval.

  5. 05

    Publication in the open

The approved PDF and its article details are added to the journal archive for readers to access and share.

A shared editorial standard

Different voices.
A consistent page.

The house style brings accepted papers into a readable, coherent journal. Authors retain responsibility for the accuracy of their arguments and sources.

Author resources · Draft v0.1

A starting point for your paper.

Use the Word template to prepare your article. The PDF shows the intended page layout. These founding resources will be refined as the first issue takes shape.

Language & argument

Clarity before ornament.

Use British English, informative headings and a clear account of the paper’s question, approach and contribution. Explain specialist terminology for readers beyond your discipline.

Distinguish evidence, interpretation and speculation. Quotations, factual claims and references should be accurate and traceable.

References & sources

Make the evidence accessible.

Use a consistent citation system appropriate to your discipline. Supply complete references and stable links or identifiers where available.

The editors will confirm discipline-specific conventions before the first issue. Legal materials should identify the relevant authority and pinpoint the passage relied upon.

Tables & figures

Let the material do the work.

Number tables and figures, give them informative captions and identify their sources. Explain abbreviations. Include descriptive text for visual material and obtain any required permissions.

Final publication

A proof the author has checked.

After acceptance, the editors prepare a uniform PDF and ask the authors to check it. Publication follows approval of the final text, author details and applicable licence.

The founding stage

The template supports preparation. It does not indicate acceptance, an assigned ISSN, indexing or institutional accreditation. Final policies will be published before the journal opens.

The reading room
